A commissioned officer of the Arma dei Carabinieri who graduated first in his officer training course, Alexander Malato-Palermo di S. Margherita has some twenty-five years of professional experience across intelligence operations, counter-espionage, corporate security and cybersecurity. His work spans Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with particular depth in OSINT and HUMINT. As a Carabinieri Lieutenant he was involved in protecting the safety of Pope John Paul II. He is the driving force behind current Atreides activity.

A senior officer of the Arma dei Carabinieri, Col. (Res.) Umberto Malato held command positions including Napoli Poggioreale, Reggio Emilia and Bologna Borgo Panigale. He served as Airport Security Manager at Bologna Marconi Airport, holding ENAC certification covering counter-terrorism measures for civil aviation, and is PFSO-certified by the Venice Maritime Authority. He has worked extensively as an instructor and certifier in counter-terrorism, airport security and the protection of critical infrastructure.

Orio Giorgio Stirpe is a Scientific Adviser to Atreides IntelSec, providing strategic and doctrinal guidance to the Intelligence Unit on military affairs, operational dynamics and the assessment of conflict-related risk. A Colonel of the Italian Army, currently in reserve, he specialised in operational planning and military intelligence and served for many years within the NATO command environment. At NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Italy, he held intelligence responsibilities at corps level, creating and leading the Corps Targeting Intelligence Cell and contributing operational analysis in support of planning and targeting. At Atreides, Stirpe applies military doctrine and operational analysis to the assessment of investments, infrastructure and business activity in strategically exposed environments. His contribution focuses on how hybrid or kinetic hostile action could affect sites, transport routes, logistics, redundancy and operational continuity, helping identify vulnerabilities, potential points of failure and more resilient courses of action. This perspective is particularly relevant to reconstruction, infrastructure and investment projects in conflict-affected or high-risk regions.
